sensor & receiver

The sensor and the receiver form a great support material for many different feedback applications. The sensor is the size of a matchbox and can pinpoint locations all through space in three dimensions. The sensor can be seen on the screen as a moving, brightly coloured dot. The signals from the sensor are translated by the receiver, which looks like a flash drive. The sensor and the receiver make up the hardware of the VelDon method.

The sensor and the receiver form a piece of nifty electronics, specifically designed for the therapists. The sensor can be linked to VelDon applications, such as the Trunk Balance Trainer, the Balance Trainer and the Cervical Trainer. Secondly, positions and trajectories can be determined and followed if the sensor is either held or attached to the ankle. Thirdly, it is also possible to apply the sensor to ones own practice materials that also measure positions and/or trajectories.

The sensor and the receiver have their own software, named VelDon data. The local programme on the computer contains 13 exercises, two games, 0,1 or 3 tests (depending on the application) a duration test to train sitting behaviour (TBT application) and a few other options. The software can be downloaded upon request.

Besides the local programme, the database is also used. This database is easily accessible with the log in code for your practice. Patients that undergo treatment with you can receive a personal log in code, to grant them access to their own area of the database. With this patients will be motivated to do well, and by doing so improve their movement behaviour. The database provides all exercises, graphics and tables and chronologically show the training completed thus far including its results.
