At the moment, there are no sustained tests for the cervical trainer. The neutral position of the head can be determined when the patient is seated. With this, the pelvic/lumbar can be positioned into a specific lordotic position, so as to avoid movements to compensate mistakes. The neutral position is determined with the eyes closed, after it has been calibrated (by centralising the cursor), the eyes can be opened and the movement trajectories can be followed.
The results of these trajectories, including any defects, can be seen at the end of every exercise and can then be stored into the database, which provides a specific cervical part. Any deviations in the movement behaviour can be seen in the results, and are discussed and corrected with the therapist. The individual results, based on the feedback training, are clear, insightful and positive.
Any coordination and stability disorders in the cervical area give the patient a reason to be treated by the cervical trainer. It is often the case that there are only a few treatments necessary to give the patient the push they need to function better. Here, we also rely upon our principal; “minimal exertion, maximal result”.
